Very large stoneware jug on a round base, bulbous body, narrow slightly flared neck with pronounced rim, slightly pinched lip rising above rim, strap handle decorated with incised vertical lines at top and with arc at base, and flattened at join with body, just below start of neck. Mottled honey brown glaze, decorated on body and on upper part of neck with wide horizontal free brushstrokes and lines in a loosely Oriental style and showing the body underneath. Random blue dots in glaze. Narrow band of incised horizontal lines under neck. Dark brown glazed interior.
