Neath Abbey Third Common Seal impression

Underneath a pinnacled niche, on a platform the edge of which is decorated with nine estoiles, the Blessed Virgin crowned, in her right hand a sceptre surmounted by a fleur-de-lis, her left arm supporting the Child: in field, dext. a stem,possibly of palm; sin. a crozier, it's crook turnedto the outside; in base, a shield: three clarions, two and one (badge of the DE CLARES, later lords of Glamorgan) : beaded border.
