Jar and cover, stoneware, orange body with fine grained white inclusions, sitting on a flat, conical base with no foot ring, the body angling outwards above the foot in an ogee-form, with upright sides, rounded flat shoulder and short neck, the cover is concave and with an inverted conical knop; above the foot, the jar is covered with a speckled tin-glaze, with broad, shallow diagonal incisions spaced evenly around the body, the upper face of the cover also has a speckled glaze, the interior of the pot and underside of the cover have a plain white tin-glaze.
