Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Sea chest

Polished solid cedar wood sea captain's chest with hinged lid and metal handle at each side. Key is stored inside. Chest belonged to Captain Thomas Robert of Clust Glas afterwards Gorffwysfa Morfa Nefyn Edern parish Llyn. He was commodore in charge of the Chilian end of a Manchester shipping lane at the end of the last century, and died in Valpariso, Chile. The chest returned to the family full of uniforms.
