The first Cardiff Lesbian and Gay Mardi Gras was held in 1999. Later changing its name to Cardiff-Wales Lesbian and Gay Mardi Gras, and then Cardiff-Wales LGBT Mardi Gras. In 2014 it changed its name to Pride Cymru.
