Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, short foot-rim, bulbous body, curving spout, ear-shaped handle with thumb-spur, domed cover with acorn finial; painted in polychrome enamels with around the exterior of the teapot and the top of the cover scattered floral sprigs including pink roses, around the top of the teapot and the rim of the cover elaborate borders of gilt scrolls with a blue line running through them, a gilt line around the foot-rim of the teapot, a gilt dentil edge to the upper rim of the teapot and the rim of the cover, the spout, handle and finial picked out in gilt.
