Handkerchief

Handkerchief made from a single piece of thin ivory silk, with white cotton machine-made lace border. Embroidered with a basket of flowers in coloured silks. Inscribed 'Souvenir de France' in yellow silk thread. Belonged to a family from Pontardawe.

Handkerchief made from a single piece of ivory coloured silk, edged with 20.5cm of machine made lace, sewn to the silk by machine using a running stitch in white cotton thread embroidered in one corner with basket of mulitcoloured flowers and inscription.
