Seal impression: Chancery of Cardiff

Equestrian: the earl on horse gallopingto right; his sword (pointing towards helmet and vizor closed) in his right hand, a shield in his left: a saltire, label of three points compony, NEVILLE; horse caparisons indistinct, but charged on the neck: quarterly, 1. and 4. an eagle displayed, MONTHERMER, 2. and 3. three fusils in fess, a label, of as many points, MONTACUTE; on the flanks: quarterly 1. and 4. quarterly, i and iv. a fess between six crosses crosslet, BEAUCHAMP, ii. and iii. checky, a chevron, NEWBURGH; 2. and 3. quarterly, CLARE and DESPENSER (arms as W313); on helm a coronet, and crest a swan's head and neck.
