Teapot and cover

Teapot, soft-paste porcelain, inset base, globular body, silver gilt curving spout with foliate moulding to the top and bottom, scrolled loop handle, round domed cover with to the top a knob-shaped finial and a pierced steam hole to one side, the body of the teapot and the top of the cover moulded with an all-over scale pattern to resemble an artichoke; left in the white and glazed.
