Pair of openhearth steelsmelter's blue spectacles. These were used by the donor in the Metallurgy Department, East Moors steelworks 1961-1973 and as a cupola hand in Dowlais foundry 1973 to 1987. The spectacles ceased to be issued in the early/mid 1970s.
