Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Jam or sugar pot and cover, white earthenware with 'Creation' glaze, which is blue-grey in colour with uneven brown speckles, foot ring and squat, cylindrical body, distinct sharply sloping shoulder with upright, cylindrical neck, simple domed cover with flange and no knop; the body is decorated with 'Primula', a lithographic printed pattern comprising three yellow primula buds with dark brown, iron oxide leaves separating them and is bordered at the foot and shoulder with a hand-painted line of iron oxide that has flown slightly into the surrounding glaze giving an uneven, textured finish, the cover is decorated with an open primula with five petals in yellow and iron oxide, the edge is also bordered with a painted line of iron oxide.
