Medieval silver brooch

A small silver gilt annual brooch. The slightly oval frame comes to a point where it terminates in two joined hands at prayer the frame representing arms. The frame has a flattened triangular cross-section, is decorated with engraved zig-zags and dots on two opposing quarters, and engraved letter I is on the other opposed quarters. The head of the pin is wrapped around a restriction on one side of the frame. The back of the loop is flat and undecorated; the pin is plain, and has a slight transverse moulding at the junction of shaft and head.
