Sugar tongs, tin-plate, made from a rolled and shaped strip of metal, the sides pierced with a rectangular pattern of small diamonds, the grips pierced with a quatrefoil design; covered all over with a black japan which has mostly worn off, traces of decoration in silver to which the varnish has given a golden tinge, and also traces of red decoration.
