Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Early Medieval copper alloy brooch

Annular brooch with flat back giving plano-convex section. The conjoined terminals take the form of two stylised bird heads and there is a restriction on the opposing side to accomodate a pin head. Corrosion at this point suggests that the pin may have been made of iron.
