Figure group

Stand for a figure group, hard-paste porcelain, in the form of a roughly conical structure built up from moulded oyster shells arranged in such a way as to create various gaps in the structure and also numerous platforms with pierced holes on which figures may once have been attached, to the bottom of the structure are attached two partially nude male figures, one with wings, and both partially covered by draperies, also to the base of the structure the head of a small putto by itself and part of a drapery of a possible further figure, to the top of the structure a flat circular platform with a round aperture to the centre; the structure left in the white apart from the figures which are painted in naturalistic enamels with mauve and yellow draperies.
