Penrhyn tramway slate sleeper & rail chairs

A slate sleeper, roughly cut and shaped, to which have been attached two grooved chairs (bolted? to sleeper). Grooves on chairs may have held oval type rails. Other holes cut in sleeper suggest that re-tracking or replacing of sleepers has taken place at some point.
