Sucrier with cover

Sucrier, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of a flower bud with a stem and leaves; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to one side of the exterior body of the sucrier and to the top of the cover two groups of domestic birds in landscapes, around the rest of the exterior sides of the sucrier and the top of the cover scattered floral sprigs, around the exterior lip-rim of the sucrier and the rim of the cover a rococo border with a flowered trellis pattern in puce enclosed by a band of yellow scrolls, the flower bud finial painted in violet and green. The sucrier cracked and repaired.
