Tea bowl, earthenware, short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides; transfer-printed in grey-green with around the exterior sides two circular reserves containing a classical scene with a seated figure holding a smoking urn, to the rest of the exterior body and the interior lip-rim a border of large flowers and leaves, a floral sprig to the interior bottom of the bowl. Saucer, earthenware, short cylindrical foot-rim and curving sides; transfer-printed in grey-green with to the well a circular reserve containing a classical scene as on the tea bowl, around the sides of the well a border of large flowers and leaves as on the tea bowl.
