Original case for Daily Herald Order of Industrial Heroism bronze medal on red silk ribbon with bronze clasp. Obverse shows St. Christopher with Christ. Inscription on reverse. In original case (2011.63/1)
Issued to Mr J. Arthur Jones who, with Mr William J. Read (who was also awarded a medal), attempted to rescue John Cureton from a roof fall at Tirpentwys Colliery on 13th February 1958.
