Bronze Age Gold from Wales
Teapot and cover
Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, rounded foot-rim, squat bulbous body, short curving spout with a moulded ribbon around the base, plain loop handle, round domed cover with reeding around the top and to the centre a nipple-topped finial; painted in red, blue and green enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the teapot spreading flowering conventional Chinese shrubs, a red chevron border in the Chinese style around the shoulder of the teapot and the rim of the cover.
Porcelain made at the Vezzi factory is rare and mostly confined to teawares.
