Dessert dish, bone china, square shape with straight sided foot-rim and rounded curving sides, a lobed edge to the rim; the interior of the dish covered all over with a yellow ground against which is reserved to the centre of the well a circular panel painted with a stylized foliate star shape in gilt and enclosed by a gilt border, from this panel four vases in blue and gilt and filled with large flowers and foliage in polychrome enamels spread up the sides of the well to the rim, between the vases, to each corner of the dish, is a smaller spray of flowers in polychrome enamels, around the central panel and spreading down from the rim is a rich gilt decoration of lattice-work and diaper patterns enclosed by scrolls and foliate motifs, a gilt edge to the rim.
