DAVIS (with engine by Joshua Hendy Ironworks, Sunnyvale, California), for the US War Shipping Administration (managed by American West African Line, New York). 1947 – Sold to North Valley Shipping Corp., USA, and renamed NORTH VALLEY (managed by Norton Lilley Management Corp., New York). 1950 – Sold to Estados Del Norte Cia. Nav., Panama, and renamed ANDRE (registered under the Greek flag and managed by Orion Shipping &Trading Co., New York). 1952 – Management undertaken by Seacrest Shipping Co., New York, and in 1957 by Seaways Shipping Co., also of New York. 1960 – Sold to Marero Compania Naviera SA, Panama (still under the Greek flag), and renamed CAPTAIN LEMOS (managed by Eagle Ocean Transport Inc., New York). 1961 – Management taken over by Lemos Bros., London, then in 1966 by Hunter Shipping Co., London.
