Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
LINEN, unbleached, with portions cut out and closely darned with coloured silks. At the top, in four horizontal rows, are Gothic and Roman letters of the alphabet, commencing with crosses, numerals to 12, and another alphabet in Roman capitals followed by the figures "189", all in cross stitch. At the bottom, in two (incomplete) rows, are eight crosses darned in a variety of patterns, Early 19th century. There is a varied border of straight and wavy stripes.
