Goffering iron
Small goffering iron with a blunt head on a copper notch decorated stem, flattened and pierced at the extreme end.
Used in St Mellons, near Cardiff.It would have been heated in the fire and inserted into a goffering iron stand, also known as an Italian (or tally iron) to create frills and ruffles.
