Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Bowl of stone-paste, standing on a high foot rim, rouded sides, spreading and rising steeply, ending in an uneven outer rim; the exterior sides with a deep blue cobalt glaze, not entirely extending over the foot rim, exposing the unglazed stone-paste body, the glaze mottled and differing in thickness and degraded and iridescent inpatches; the interior, with a cruciform pattern, resembling a Maltese cross, the central well dark blue, with four flaring panels radiating, interspersed with four thinner, almost triangular panels in a pale lustrous creamy-gold, the whole with a thick, glassy quality much crazed, cracked and restored.
