Plate, earthenware, in the form of an Ancient Greek patera, incised foot-rim, deeply curving sides, everted rim, incised lines around the exterior and interior rim; the decoration reserved against a black enamel ground so that the red earthenware body is revealed, this then transfer-printed in black with to the centre of the well a figure of a young man with a staff in one hand and a wreath around his head, a border of Greek key-shapes to the rim.
