Animal bone fragments and teeth
Fragments of animal bone and teeth including an upper molar of a domestic cow and a premolar and molar of a sheep or goat recovered during archaeological excavations at Nant Hall Road, Prestatyn, Denbighshire. The wear on the animal teeth indicates the animals were mature in age when they died. Several of the long bone fragments have fractures that suggest they were exploited for marrow-fat extraction. One of the fragments is calcined indicating it was burnt at high temperatures.
