Throne in the form of an armchair with a high canted back and flat curving arms, brown oak, carved and with painted details; the centre section of the back with an arched cresting rail, carved with leaves, berries and interlace around a central boss, painted with a rampant red dragon on a gold ground, between two high crocketted finials, above a lattice of roundels decorated with spiral ornament, the side panels lower with triangular spandrels and smaller finials, together with a lattice of roundels which are repeated under the arms, most inscribed in gold (probably later) with the names of forty poets from Taliesin to Dafydd ap Gwilym; shaped plank seat with canted front; square section legs with a front stretcher.
