S.S. SAMLORIAN (7255gt). Built 1944 by J. A. Jones Construction Company, Brunswick, Georgia, for MOWT (managed by E.R. Management Co., Cardiff). 1947 - Sold to Strath Steamship Co, London, and renamed HELMSPEY. 1949 - Sold to Evan Thomas, Radcliffe & Co., Cardiff and renamed LLANOVER. 1951 - Sold to Liberian Shipping Inc., Monrovia, and renamed CAPESTAR (managed by the Triton Shipping Co., New York). 1960 - Transferred to Greek registry (same owners) and renamed ATHLOS. She was broken up in 1966 at Sakei, Japan.
