Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Trulleus, complete but with handle bent and broken, probably in antiquity. The handle, slightly waisted, has a straight end with trefoil piercing; the bowl, with central boss and single concentric ring on base, bears clear marks of the lathe inside and preserves traces of tinning. This probably is of Gaulish manufacture.
Site Name: British Telecom Site, Caerleon
Notes: Excavation conducted on land immediately to the east of the telephone exchange on Museum Street. Context: Phase Ib. Found pressed directly into the turf beneath the earliest floor make-up.
