Chalice, silver gilt, circular domed foot with moulded stepped rim and raised top on which rests the drum-shaped base of the stem (this a separate piece held in place by the stem), the balustroid stem (which screws into the foot and is held by a round nut) is urn-shaped rising to columnar top into which screws the bell-shaped bowl; the foot, drum of the stem and bowl each decorated with applied enamelled oval medallions, the foot and drum also with applied cherub's heads in scrolls (four pairs on the foot, four single heads on the drum), four applied ribs and four hooked scrolls to the stem's baluster, four pairs of ribs and two horizontal bands to the bowl, the applied elements surrounded by scrolls engraved and punched with tiny dots.
