Jug and cover
Jug, hard-paste porcelain, pear-shaped body with waisted foot-rim, beak spout with moulded scrolls to either side and double scroll handle with foliate moulding at the shoulder, round domed cover with a pine cone finial; decorated in purple monochrome with around the body and the cover scattered sprays and sprigs of Oriental flowers heightened with touches of gilt, around the rim of the cover a scroll border in purple monochrome with gilt flowes, the spoiut, handle and finial picked out in puce.
