Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Order of Service for 'A Service of Blessing' between Lee & Fabiano at St Collen's Church, Llangollen, 13 November 2021. Father Lee Taylor and his partner Fabiano Da Silva Duarte are believed to be the first same-sex couple to be officially blessed by the Church in Wales. Father Lee compiled the liturgy himself from the resources available from the new Church in Wales authorised liturgy of blessing for same-sex couples. The readings, poems and hymns were chosen between them. This service followed the passing of the Church in Wales Bill in September 2021, that allowed same-sex couples to have their civil partnership or marriage blessed in church by the Anglican Church in Wales.
