These are remains from the Inhumation Burial of an Adolescent (16-18 years) who's sex is Undetermined The remains are very well preserved with over 75% remaining.
They were buried in an extended supine position in a simple grave oriented Northwest-Southeast.
The burial is from Phase F: 684-986 AD
Their teeth and bones have evidence for a range of conditions. Their teeth have Calculus, Enamel Pearls and Dental Enamel Hypoplasia.
Porotic Hypertosis in the cranium caused by iron deficiency. Arachnoid Granulations. Lytic Lesions on the patellae caused by a disease. Hypervascularisation in the Vertebral Bodies which would also be caused by a disease. Possible Hyperotosis Frontalis Interna in the cranium which is caused by hormone changes and is normally associated with older females.
