Raincoat

John Collier (Manufacturer)

Light brown gabardine raincoat, waterproofed. Manufactured by John Collier, 1955-60. Collar and revers, with buttonholes, double breasted, with double row of three large plastic, mock tortoiseshell buttons on front, one smaller internal button fastening and one small button under collar for fastening at neck. Diagonal pocket slits on each hip. Self fabric belt, fastening with leather covered buckle and self fabric loop. Slit at back up to six inches below waistline. Half cuff on sleeves, with stitched down button. Fully lined with satin metal insulated fabric. Two large pockets stitched onto lining in self fabric. Extra piece of lining at back of shoulders, padded and machine quilted, with John Collier label. Self fabric loop at centre back neck.
