Waistcoat

Black waistcoat with South Wales Gay Men's Chorus logo in raised 'diamonds', worn by Nick McNeill, Chair of the choir for many years, and a member since they formed in 2008. Shirt, waiscoat and tie (F2021.73.2-4) are the uniform worn by South Wales Gay Men's Chorus from about 2008, and similar to the uniform worn today.

The South Wales Gay Men's Chorus was formed in February 2008, and has members from across south Wales. The forty strong chorus choir sing everything from traditional male voice choir pieces, to show tunes and modern classics.

Black polycotton twill waistcoat with 5 black plastic button fastening at centre front and two waist pockets. South Wales Gay Men's Chorus logo is depicted in gems/rhinestones on left chest; it consists of a stylised symbol created from a mix of a Welsh dragon and a Treble Clef. Woven synthetic fabric labels at inner neck: blue lettering on white ground.
