Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Complete adult cranium, probably female, with some damage to the left side of the frontal bone. The first and second left premolars are still present. 8 further sockets are visible but four have been lost prior to death and have healed over. There are two ragged holes in the lower part of the occipital bone close to the foramen magnum.
Site Name: Merthyr Mawr, Bridgend
Notes: Possibly from Merthyr Mawr. There is no information accompanying the majority of the bones but the general state of preseration and colouring of the bones is consistent with other remains recovered from sandy contexts.
