Chalice, silver, standing on a spreading octagonal foot with applied reeded vertical foot rim, a torus moulding round the edge and rising in eight facets to a flat octagonal plate supporting a screw fitting, onto the latter screws an octagonal stem section which has an octagonal cushion knop with a fillet round it, into the top of this section screws the plain bell-shaped bowl, its rim slightly flared and thickened, its screw fitting applied to a small round plate attached to the base of the bowl; engraved on the foot a crucifixion scene flanked by instruments of the Passion (pincers, hammer, a ladder), round the foot an engraved band of stiff leaves with larger leaves at the angles and on the torus moulding a later inscription.
