Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
The George Cross awarded to the National Health Service in Wales in recognition of all who The award also acknowledged the dedication and bravery of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The medal was awarded on 5th July 2021 and presented to NHS Wales Chief Executive Judith Paget and Intensive Care Consultant Dr Ami Jones at a ceremony at Windsor Castle on 12th July 2022. The George Cross is the highest civilian gallantry medal. This is only the third time the medal has been awarded to collective body rather than an individual.
