Costrel
Costrel or bottle, buff coloured earthenware, flat base, oviform body bulging outwards at the shoulder then tapering inwards, a raised ridge around the upper body, narrow short cylindrical neck with thickly rounded everted lip-rim, twin high loop handles to either side of the neck; covered all over with a rich brown lead-manganese glaze.
