Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Rectangular picture frame, glazed area surrounded by narrow strip of gilded wood, which in turn, is framed by a thick frame covered in orange velvet. Underneath the glazing is a piece of grey cardboard embossed with a snake skin pattern, whereas the back of the frame has black card embossed with dotted reptile skin pattern. There are two swivelling metal tabs to open and close the frame, a brass? ring for hanging and two corroded nails near the upper corners. There is evidence that the frame would have had a fold out flap to stand the frame up, but this is now missing. There is the remains of a textiel ribbon hinge. A small self adhesive label is stuck to the back of the frame.
