¾ Port bow view of S.S. ANDOVER HILL at Cardiff Docks.

Built 1943 as FORT COULONGE by United Shipyards Ltd., Montreal (engines by Dominion Engineering Works Ltd., Montreal), for MoWT, managed by Sir R. Ropner & Co., London. 1949 – Transferred to the Ministry of Transport, managed by W.H.Cockerline & Co., London. 1950 – Sold to Ottawa Steamship Co., and renamed ANDOVER HILL, managed by Counties Ship Management, London. 1952 – Managed by Coulouthros Ltd. (same owner). 1961 – Sold to Marvenida Cia Nav., Monrovia, and renamed LOURIA, managed by Coulouthros Ltd. 1964 – Sold to Steering Line Co., Monrovia, and renamed SURABAJA STEER. 1966 – Sold to Treasure Maritime Corp., and renamed BERYL. She was broken up at Hirao, Japan in 1970. (MarinersList/ FortShips) (Allen collection / Counties Line) Funnel colours are blue cross on white - Coulouthros colours.
