S.S. FORT LA CLOCHE (7151gt). North Sands type built April 1944 by Marine Industries Ltd., Sorel for MoWT (managed by Buries Markes Ltd., London – McCowen & Gross Ltd from 1946). 1950 – Acquired by Nova Scotia Marine Enterprise Co., from the Canadian Government, but managed by Counties Ship Management Co., London, and renamed AKTI HILL. 1958 – Sold to Merida Cia. Nav.,of Panama and renamed CAPE DREPANON. She ran aground at Long Island on 1st February 1961, and although refloated on the 12th, was deemed a total loss and was sold for breaking up.
