Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A square 'disk'-head (? of a monolithic slab-cross). The head is in the form of a quadrate cross, with plain square 'wheel' and solid interspaces with small raised bosses in front, but plain behind. The head is decorated on both faces and on the edges with carved patterns in low relief within moulded borders. Front: the five square panels forming the cross are filled with plain eight-cord plaits interjoined by double strands filling the arms; left and right: the decoration is in three panels; (a) arm-end plain four-cord plait, (b & c) upper and lower wheel, angular twist (or straight fret). Back: the panels of the cross are filled with plain interjoined plaits as before; (a) top, (b) bottom, and (c) left, eight-cord plaits, (d) centre, eight-cord plait with irregular breaks, and (e) right, six-cord plait.
