Black cast iron frame with a hinged wooden table top hanging from the front. The table top can be raised and is supported by two brackets that swing out from below. A rectangular (750mm x 415mm x 450mm high) tub, of riveted sheet and angle iron construction, hangs from the frame below the rollers. The tub is painted with black pitch paint. There are three rollers a central wooden one and two larger iron ones. The central roller has a length of cotton wound around it with its end fixed by an iron rod that fits into a groove running the length of the roller. [R.Pearce, 23/11/2005]
