Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Plate, pale buff coloured earthenware, circular shape, curving sides and spreading rim; covered all over with a white tin-glaze with a slightly pinkish tinge to it, the upperside of the plate covered with a manganese purple powdered ground, against which is reserved to the centre of the well an octagonal panel containing a harbour scene painted in blue showing a multi-towered building on an outcrop of land with a flag flying from it and sailing boats on an expanse of water beyond, eight smaller panels, alternating between hexagonal and lobed shapes, are reserved to the rim of the plate, and are printed with sprigs of flowers in blue, a brown edge to the outer rim, the plate cracked and repaired.
