Leather case to hold the field communion set used by the Reverend Captain T. Bowen Williams throughout his time as an Army chaplain. He was the curate of St Michael's Church, Aberystwyth, before his appointment as a chaplain in November 1915. Case with handle and two metal clasps, and inner compartments for holding pieces of the field communion set.
"The Rev T Bowen Williams CF who was chaplain with the 38th Welsh Division in France has presented the communion set which he used throughout the war to the National Museum of Wales. Capt Williams urges that a complete photographic record should be made of all the places attacked and taken by the Division.
