Kettle, coffee
Coffee kettle, tin-plate, roughly square in shape with four ogees in section, curving spout and angular handle; into the top of the kettle fits the cylindrical infuser with angular handle, domed cover with finial, and pierced base, loose inside the infuser is a cylindrical double-ended measuring cup with ring handle; the kettle rests on a lamp stand, also roughly square in shape with four ogees in section, the lamp stand has pierced sides, four lead claw feet and a hinged wire handle, into the top of the stand fits a removeable pierced brass disc; the whole of the aparatus covered with a black japan and decorated with delicate floral sprays in red, white and gilt.
