North Sands type cargo vessel built 1942 as FORT BRULE by West Coast Shipbuilders Ltd., Vancouver for USWSA (managed by Ropner & Co., West Hartlepool, for MoWT). 1947 – Returned to US Maritime Commission. 1948 – Sold to Scindia Steam Navigation Co., Bombay, and renamed JALAMOTI. 1961 – Sold to Northwind Navigation Co., Panama, and renamed ADAWIND. 1964 – Sold to Interocean Navigation Co., Panama, and renamed ISLAND VENTURE. 1967 – Broken up at Kaohsiung.
