Crewel work case, ligh brown canvas fabric with edge binding of red wool, containing a copper alloy wire crewel threader, different colour wool yarns, a steel needle inserted into red felted woven fabric. When unrolled, the case reveals a strip of self fabric down its length which has been stitched down at intervals to create sleeves through which the yarns have been inserted. In addition, a clear 'Boots' zip-lock bag containing 8 further skeins of yarn has been rolled up in the case; these have paper labels. The case is hand-embroidered with the words 'CREWELS' and 'CREWEL THREADER' in red yarn and a floral motif in green, white and faded blue. Machine stitched. Tied together with a red synthetic ribbon (2.5cm wide).
